Shamans generally agree that there are three broad areas in non-ordinary reality. Spirits and Shamanic people can move easily between the realities.
They are;
The Upper world, the source of inspiration.
The Middle world, were the spiritual counter parts of everything that exists in ordinary reality reside,
and the Lower world, were the ancestors and power spirits are to be found.
There are many different areas within the three worlds, some of them are easy to visit, others may be difficult and even dangerous, which makes it very important to only attempt such journeys with trusted spirit guides and helpers.
